Mark is a life sciences strategy consultant with experience in technology evaluation, clinical research, market opportunity assessments, and commercialization strategy. He holds a Ph.D. in Neurorehabilitation from the University of Illinois-Chicago (UIC), where his research focused on non-invasive neuromodulation to enhance neuroplasticity and motor recovery in stroke and ALS patients. His work specifically examined the motor and neurophysiological effects of ischemic and tele-based ischemic conditioning in individuals with chronic stroke. During this time, he also served as a Technology Commercialization Analyst with UIC’s Office of Technology Management and as a clinical contributor to a medical device startup through the Nucleate Activator program. Mark also earned a B.S. in Biology and a certificate in Business Management from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
